What are the Best Plants to Keep in Your Bedroom?
Keeping many (some people might say too many) different, unique plants in the home is a popular interior design staple. Luckily enough for us all, there are tons of benefits to filling our bedroom with plants! Some houseplants will offer health benefits, some have relaxing scents to help you wind down at night, and some just make sense for general upkeep. Keep reading below for a list of the best plants to keep in your bedroom!
- Snake Plant- Let’s start with an easy one? Snake plants are incredibly adaptable and low-maintenance, so they’re great for the bedroom where they may not get as much TLC. They can survive on minimal water, and they don’t shed their leaves, which make them a simple, natural starter plant for your bedroom.
- Fiddle Leaf Fig- Now for a trendy one! Fiddle Leaf Figs are a great statement piece for your bedroom. Having a statement plant will keep you from having to drag a bunch of different plants (that all need different care) into your bedroom, and leave you with just the one that still packs a punch. Fiddle Leaf Figs like all things in moderation- temperature, light, and water (all the things that make them a simple choice for the bedroom).
- Lavender- Keep a small potted lavender plant by your bedside table. The scent will lull you to sleep in the evening and set the tone in your room as a place to relax and unwind.
- English Ivy- For starters, English ivy is a very forgiving plant, but the real reason we’ve added this ivy strain to the list is for the health benefits! English Ivy will purify the air in your bedroom and even reduce airborne mold! This is an excellent option for old homes and allergy sufferers.
